Artist Gretchen Haien has invited Randall Teasley to participate in the Kindred Spirits exhibition, currently on display at The Art Store. The exhibit will run through April 20th.
“”INTERIOR FRONTIERS” is a suite of gelatin images that concerns itself with the single photograph. Each image presents internal relationships that are subjective and conceptual rather than objective and formal. With this new series, I have become increasingly enamored with the edge of the photographer’s frame, how it reorders and redefines our perception of reality. Each photo becomes an abstract and metaphysical slice of the real world charged with both the mystery and the magic of intuitive insight, uncovering the spiritual within the physical and allowing each photo to become …”a space defined by space with a presence and an invitational whisper.”" — Gretchen Haien

“My work is fueled by an intense sense of curiosity. Photography is the tool by which I explore, document and make sense of the world around me. Oftentimes I find that some of the most compelling and wondrous things imaginable are right in front of me and often in the most common of places. My photographs are my attempt to pass on some of the sense of wonder that I feel when I’m moving around in the world. Since 2002 my work has been captured digitally. The process of making photos, developing files and printing my own work gives me total control over my images. It helps me portray my subjects at their best and provides me another opportunity to learn and grow.” — Randall Teasley
